The Tai Chi for Life and Health logo consists of the black and white circular Tai Chi symbol, representing the Chinese concepts of relativity and duality,

and the tuatara, the symbol of longevity.  The tuatara lives up to 100 years of age, is unique to New Zealand, and has survived as a species for more than 200 million years.

Classes run during the public-school terms as follows:

TERM 1:
Wednesday, 28th January to Thursday, 2nd April
(10–week term)
TERM 2:
Wednesday, 22nd April to Thursday, 25th June
(10-week term)
TERM 3:
Wednesday, 22nd July to Thursday, 24th September
(10-week term)
TERM 4:
Wednesday, 14th October to Thursday, 3rd December
(8-week term)

2026 Classes

WEDNESDAY MORNING (MANA)
Continuing Tai Chi:
9:30am to 10:10am
Advanced Tai Chi:
10:20am to 11:00am

THURSDAY MORNING (PARAPARAUMU)
Continuing Tai Chi:
9:30am to 10:10am
Advanced Tai Chi:
10:20am to 11:00am

THURSDAY AFTERNOON (KENEPURU)
Essential Tai Chi:
2:30pm to 3:30pm

2026 Venues

Wednesday morning classes are held in the Ngati Toa Hall across the railway line from Mana Station.  At the end of North Drive off Pascoe Avenue from The Esplanade.

Thursday morning classes are held in the Hall at the Mazengarb Reserve Sports Complex at the end of Scaife Drive, off Mazengarb Road, Paraparaumu.

 

Thursday afternoon classes are held in the Activities Room at Summerset at the Landing and are only available to residents and their visitors.
