Some Covid-19 precautions remain in place

Why?
While the government has now removed the Covid-19 mandated precautions, the risks remain for the most-at-risk sectors of the population, especially seniors. So, we are retaining some precautions.

Wearing masks in class remains optional – the instructor and the majority of students will not be wearing masks in class. The space available in the rooms provide for adequate separation and ventilation for our restricted class numbers and ventilation is monitored by a CO2 meter.

Hand sanitiser is available at the venue for you to use when you arrive and leave,

Our stay-at-home rule is that if you are feeling unwell then stay at home.

Vaccination policy
We encourage all students to remain up to date with their booster vaccinations to protect not only themselves but also their fellow students.

What if I contract Covid-19?
Our stand-down policy is based on the advice of professional epidemiologists. It is the greater of either 2 days following the second successive negative daily RAT on recovery (or exposure as a close contact) OR 10 days since the onset of symptoms (or exposure as a close contact).

These precautions are considered reasonable in reducing the risk of transmitting not only Covid-19 but also other viruses, such as influenza and the common cold, to an acceptable level.
